Flick is a Chrome extension for gesture-based tab management. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and who we share it with.

What we collect

Email address — retrieved from your signed-in Chrome account via the Chrome Identity API when the free trial begins. Used solely to verify your subscription status.

Tab URLs and titles — saved locally to your device via Chrome's storage. This data is not synced across devices and is not sent to any third-party server.

Why we collect it

Email: to authenticate your identity and manage your subscription.

Tab URLs and titles: to let you save, switch between, and reopen tabs from the wheel. This data is essential to the extension's core functionality.

Who we share it with

Google Firebase / Firestore — stores your email and subscription status for authentication and license verification.

Gumroad — receives your license key to validate subscription payments. Your email is not sent to Gumroad.

We do not sell, transfer, or share your data with any other third parties.

What we do not collect

We do not collect or log your general browsing history. We only store the URLs and titles of tabs you actively assign to wheel slots, and temporarily track your previous tab to enable quick tab switching. Previous tab data is kept in session memory and is not persisted. No other user data is collected.

Security

All data is transmitted over secure connections (HTTPS). Subscription and authentication data is stored in Google Firebase, which provides encryption at rest by default.

Data retention

Your email and subscription data are retained as long as the extension is in use. To request deletion of your data, contact us at the email below. Uninstalling the extension stops all local data storage and data collection. Server-side data (email and subscription status) can be removed upon request.
